The second single "We Love You" from the upcoming album Avenged Sevenfold is unlike anything we've heard from the band before.



Innovative approach to composition on many levels with changing rhythm and style. The variability of the riffs and the tempo of the drums are accompanied by the vocals, which are both aggressive and calm. Lyrically, it's a song that relates to our expansion as humanity. We have that proverbial "sun" that is enough to exist, and yet we build more, we want more, probably at the expense of ourselves - shorter life and destruction of the planet ...

“Vespertine” is an album by Björk from 2oo1 and it’s another avant-garde production and release by her.



The album opens with "Hidden Place". The song clearly talks about the author's feelings for the man, where throughout the song she sings about it in a colorful and at times abstract way. The composition begins with the sounds of samples along with a slight pulse of the beat, which build up and multiply later in the chorus decorated with a cello in the background.

“Cocoon” begins with the climatic sound of organs and delicate, as if “broken” rhythm of electronic drums. Later, the song begins to fill with the sounds of bells in the background and, of course, the delicate, but changeable in its atmosphere vocals. The song is open to interpretation, but it tells about the relationship between a woman and a man, which creates the titular cocoon of love …

“It’s Not Up To You” opens with a gentle beat, and there is a note of emotion and grief in the vocals. The song is a brilliant reflection of the author's feelings - and this suggests to me personally, due to my perennial problem with this - to accept what happens when you wake up and nothing works, and sometimes it just is. Then you have to let the universe run its course and be okay with it. Instruments in the chorus and Björk's vocals elevate the composition even more.

The next "Undo" beautifully manifests itself with a small amount of repeated almost like a mantra text to let go. Beautiful violins in the background and samples bring you into the world of reverie and relaxation. The author says that life should not be a struggle. Sometimes you have to surrender to what awaits us, and it will come anyway…

“Pagan Poetry” is a brilliant show of Björk's vocal abilities. Beautiful sampled cymbals with a percussive beat create a composition on a heavenly level. It's a song about love between a man and a woman. However, the metaphor of pagan poetry shows some inner obstacle that tries to mess with the feelings.

“Aurora” is about longing for something. The author travels through a glacier and wants to melt in it. Transience of luminous moments causes desperation to find them. The delicate melody almost hypnotically leads through the whole song.

"An Echo A Stain" is, I think, a beautiful metaphor for the past. You can't escape the memories, which are like an echo stain and will always resonate. Wherever you are, it will be with you. In the background, the music sets the mood, evoking uncertainty, but there is also something optimistic about these sounds …

“Sun In My Mouth” describes the author's emotions in relation to some feeling that is trying to digest her. It is the striving, despite obstacles, for the brightness of the day and serenity - to happiness. Beautiful sounds, like drops of musical rain fill the song.

“Heirloom” is about Björk's recurring dream. This is a dream where mother and son appear. The turn occurs in the third part of the song, where there is a reference to "our dream" - the interpretation can be different ... The music gently creates a "fluid" background of the song with a pulsating beat.

“Harm Of Will” is an interesting story, because it can be perceived in several ways. It's about an act between a woman and a man, but the man seems to be the alpha here who just wants to get the needs met. On the other hand, it can also be a story about the beauty of this activity, that is, love. Music, like in a theater, decorates the whole.

“Unison” beautifully closes the album with sounds straight from nature...like a jungle or a very active forest, it sonically reflects the climate. It's about reconciliation. It seems to be a dialogue with the universe, creation, creator. This can also be interpreted in the context of every human being who accepts the natural harmony of reality. Musically, it seems to continue the vibe of the previous track on a higher level…



A great album by the great composer Björk. It's been over 20 years and it still feels so fresh and relevant.

Płytę otwiera “Hidden Place”. Piosenka wyraźnie mówi o uczuciach autorki do mężczyzny, gdzie przez cały utwór śpiewa o tym w barwny i momentami abstrakcyjny sposób. Kompozycję rozpoczynają dźwięki sampli wraz z lekkim pulsowaniem bitu, które narastają i mnożą później w refrenie ozdobionym wiolonczelą w tle.

“Cocoon” rozpoczyna się klimatycznym brzmieniem organów i delikatnym jakby “połamanym” rytmem elektronicznej perkusji. Instrumentalne “Frosti” jak z bajki, piękne i zapierająco dech w piersiach dźwięki tworzą nastrój jak z muzycznej Narnii, robiąc małą przerwę na płycie.. po prostu ekstaza podświadomości. Posłuchaj i oderwij się na chwilę od rzeczywistości.

Wydaje się dialogiem z wszechświatem, stworzeniem, stwórcą. Można to interpretować także w kontekście każdego człowieka, który akceptuje naturalną harmonię rzeczywistości. Muzycznie wydaje się, że kontynuuje klimat poprzedniego utworu na wyższym poziomie …



Świetny album wspaniałej kompozytorki Björk. Minęło ponad 2o lat, a to wciąż wydaje się takie świeże i aktualne.

Piękna płyta na relaks, spędzenie czasu z ukochaną osobą i zaciszne wieczory.

Chevelle returned with another album after five years from the predecessor and once again flew in like a positive hurricane knocking over the listener resetting him (in a good way).

A band that has always gravitated in my life since the beginning of my adventure with "different" music - demonized and not entirely acceptable in the country I come from. They gave and still give good energy and saved in life situations that were not easy.



The album opens with the instrumental "Verruckt", which at first glance seems very slow and even clumsy, but this beautiful illusion slowly starts to build a wall with powerful riffs like a battering ram, which is embellished with other sounds - as if it was personified at times.

"So Long, Mother Earth" is a powerful manifesto - as the song's title suggests - to our mother, Mother Earth, who we destroy every day without realizing the consequences. Pete (singer) clearly says that we don't even have the right to act against her, and yet time inexorably burns her from the inside. There is a motif of other worlds, in my opinion an interesting perspective to be interpreted. There is a very good continuation of the "wall" from the initial "Verruckt" here…

"Mars Simula" in an interesting and indirect way shows the chaotic side of our existence. We suffocate on our planet, forgetting what a good place Earth is... hence the words "I'm on my way to Mars". Great composition of the song, strong and sometimes heavy riffs adequately emphasize the importance of the text.

Another "Sleep the Deep", instrumental... The sounds awaken the imagination. As if abstract clocks are ticking our time…

“Self Destructor” is an approach to the topic of our awakening from destruction and coming to terms with the imposed vision of those who rule us. Either we make a change and use our mind or we lose it - as the text literally emphasizes. Continuation of the riffs that give a strong color to the whole album.

"Piistol Star (Gravity Heals)" is an interesting interpretation, because in the text there is a kind of cry for the hero to be released from sins - from being lost. A certain catharsis that can be achieved, as Pete sings, by simply indulging in gravity, which I believe is life - destiny…

"VVurmhole" - another instrumental, like a skit, and even a cluster of strange sounds... an interlude announcing the entrance to the next track.

"Peach", as before, carries a message about the threats coming "from above" - people who give us the title peach, and in fact have our conscience - in colloquial ass.

“Test Test…Enough”, introduces us to the guitar “carpet of sounds” with delays and chamber vocals - in the text of which there is an eloquent message of what the previous "Peach" contains.

“Endlessly” begins with a verse in which we enter the author's point of view, who treats time as something that relentlessly pushes us forward in life and sets boundaries that we cannot cross. The best we can do is give our best to celebrate life by praising it, alone or with someone.

There's a sentiment in "Remember When" from the beginning that has a theme of "souvenirs" in its opening words - perhaps from childhood - and a time when we didn't care when we were at the top, happy suddenly falling down only to get up right away . Reflection goes so far as to say that suffering was something good that gave strength and new perspectives. Beautiful song …

“Ghost and Razor” depicts the scenario of a man who is kind of torn inside, but calls out to his spirit/energy and strengthens himself so he can try again. Despite the adversity and rejection of the "devil" that fuels negativity in us, the hero screams to feel life again.

"Lost in Digital Woods" closes the album with a kind of speech by Pete, accompanied by piano and sampled sounds, which then fade into the sounds of the outside world. The text talks nostalgically about the chaos caused by the cybernetic world around us. He talks about lost people who have lost their values - "kissing the finger of confusion" - not knowing where to go. You have to keep it in yourself - the author concludes the whole album without giving a reason why he will continue to raise his hand in the air …



The album is an interesting and solid product of Chevelle, which consistently develops its style and gives us more songs to enjoy the brilliant music flowing from their instruments and deep lyrics.

I highly recommend it, a beautiful position for reflection, but also good energy.

Chevelle powrócił z kolejnym albumem po pięciu latach od poprzednika i po raz kolejny wleciał jak pozytywny huragan przewracający słuchacza resetując go (w dobrym tego słowa znaczeniu).

Zespół, który zawsze grawitował w moim życiu od początku mojej przygody z muzyką "inną" - zdemonizowaną i nie do końca akceptowalną w kraju, z którego pochodzę. Dawali i nadal dają dobrą energię i ratowali w sytuacjach życiowych, które nie były łatwe.



Płytę otwiera instrumentalny “Verruckt”, który na pierwszy rzut oka wydaje się bardzo powolny, a nawet niezdarny, ale ta piękna iluzja powoli zaczyna budować ścianę potężnymi riffami jak taran, który jest upiększony innymi dźwiękami - jakby był momentami spersonifikowany.

"So Long, Mother Earth", to potężny manifest - jak sugeruje tytuł utworu - skierowany do naszej matki, Matki Ziemi, którą niszczymy każdego dnia, nie zdając sobie sprawy z konsekwencji. Pete (wokalista) wyraźnie mówi, że nie mamy nawet prawa działać przeciwko Niej, a jednak czas nieubłaganie wypala Ją od środka. Kolejny "Sleep the Deep", instrumentalny.. Dźwięki rozbudzają wyobraźnię. Jakby abstrakcyjne zegary tykają nasz czas …

Trzeba zachować to w sobie - autor konkluduje cały album, nie podając powodu, dlaczego będzie nadal wznosić rękę w górę …



Album jest ciekawym i solidnym produktem Chevelle, który konsekwentnie rozwija się w swoim stylu i daje nam kolejne utwory, żeby delektować się genialną muzyką wypływającą z ich instrumentów i głębokich tekstów.

Polecam gorąco, piękna pozycja na refleksję, ale zarówno dobrą energię.
